This course is for those keen to develop their practical skills and portfolio, as well as build a network of artists and clients for future opportunities.
In partnership with contemporary jewellery and objects gallery, Courtesy of the Artist, the ACP are offering budding commercial photographers a rare opportunity to hone their skills and develop a portfolio.
Over two weeks and three sessions professional photographer Bill Green will lead participants through the process of utilising studio flash and on-camera flash to capture an event and deliver product-driven portraits to a client's brief.
In this new course participants will be given the opportunity to work with designers/models and hair and make-up to create striking portraits that emphasis the designer's unique aesthetic.
In the lead up to the shoot participants will be introduced to a variety of approaches and techniques to shooting in low light and working with studio-flash.
Having planned for the event, participants will then put their new found skills to the test at the opening night of Courtesy of the Artist's exhibition About Face. Instructed in a beauty and fashion shoot by Bill Green, participants will be assigned a designer to capture, followed by the opportunity to photograph the opening night event.
The final class will review the results from the shoot and discuss how to edit and supply for a client, with artists from Courtesy of the Artist reviewing images for use in their campaigns.
