Documentary PhotographyMarco Bok
This course runs at the same time every week over 10 weeks
Learn what it is to be a documentary photographer. In this 10-week project-based course you will discuss concepts and approaches to documentary photography while practising techniques that will help you work towards building a body of work.
This course will explore the history and ethics of the documentary image. With the emphasis on practical work, you will plan and undertake a project, which will then be analysed through group discussion. You will learn how to incorporate text and sound and also look into the best approach to editing and working on the layout and design of your project.
This course is aimed at participants who are committed to challenging themselves and prepared to practice and photograph outside of class. Tutor, documentary photographer Marco Bok, encourages participants to go their own way and the structure is fluid, leading to some fantastic results.
