Portraiture Two Ways

Over two days professional photographer Bill Green will lead participants through the process of utilising studio-flash and on-camera flash to create portraits in both a studio and outdoor environment.

Participants will be introduced to a variety of approaches and techniques to portraiture and working with studio and on-camera flash with models provided for the photoshoots on both days.

Participants will explore:

  • on-camera flash auto and manual settings
  • bounce and diffuse flash
  • working with mixed light
  • fill flash
  • high speed synchronisation

This course is part of the ACP’s Intermediate Summer Intensive program and is for those keen to develop their practical skills and portfolio, as well gain experience working with models.

This course is run over one weekend with a maximum class size of 8 participants.


Prerequisites and Requirements

  • Camera Craft 2, or relevant experience
  • Note book and pen
  • Covered and comfortable shoes are compulsory
  • Bring your own DSLR or Mirrorless (MILC) camera (charged batteries and memory card). If you are unsure please search your camera brand and model for clarification
