1:1 Mentorship / Instagram Projects in the Time of COVID

Presented by ex-Director of Photography at Rolling Stone magazine in New York and experienced photo-editor Rachel Knepfer, this 1:1 mentoring program takes students on a guided tour of the world’s most ubiquitous online photography sharing platform and demonstrates strategies for improving visibility and reach.

Making reference to established photographers with strong presences on the platform, students are provided with an an editorial approach to curating posts in a way that is designed to connect them with new audiences.

Developing Projects on Instagram in the Time of COVID is all about photography but is not a technical program.  Focusing on giving and taking, making and looking this program takes students on a guided tour through the Instagram jungle.  Exploring notions of ethics, integrity, privacy, sharing and collaboration this course speaks to the creation and evolution of a meaningful Instagram profile in real-time.
