04.11.17 Curator & Artist Talk: Sandy Edwards & Barbara McGrady

Saturday 4 November
11.00am – 12.00pm

72 Oxford Street
Darlinghurst NSW 2010

Join documentary photographer Barbara McGrady and guest curator Sandy Edwards for an in-depth look at ACP’s latest exhibition Barbara McGrady: Always Will Be.

McGrady’s inaugural solo exhibition with the Australian Centre for Photography celebrates her dedication to contemporary representations of indigenous people within the urban environment, creating a powerful narrative about what it means to be kooris in Sydney, and First Nations in the new millennium.

McGrady and Edwards will discuss McGrady's photographic career spanning her political, social and community documentation, highlighting its significance and value for both indigenous and non-indigenous Australians.

Barbara McGrady: Always Will Be is a free exhibition on display at the Australian Centre for Photography Project Space Gallery from November 3 to December 9, 2017.

The exhibition is curated by Sandy Edwards, as part of ACP’s Carte Blanche Program.
