The Australian Centre for Photography (ACP) is Australia’s leading organisation dedicated to the practice and understanding of photography and photo media. Our exhibition, education and community programs engage our diverse audiences and creative peers in a dynamic conversation about the role images play in our culture.

As one of the longest running contemporary art spaces, ACP has been a creative force in the cultural life of Australia for over 40 years. Head quartered in Sydney, we broker partnerships to present innovative programs, regionally, nationally and internationally.

In July 2016, our offices relocated to Darlinghurst in the City of Sydney’s Creative Spaces at 66 Oxford Street. Being part of this innovation and arts initiative is ideal as ACP continues exploring ideas and engaging with our enthusiastic audiences.

Our ACP Workshop is located in Darlinghurst at the National Art School on the corner of Forbes & Burton Streets, which is a vibrant hub of creativity and artistic practice. Our new gallery space in Darlinghurst opens shortly.

With inspirational exhibitions, thought-provoking public events and a comprehensive workshop program, ACP continues to make a significant contribution to the constantly changing and exciting world of photography. Join us in this most fundamental and dynamic medium of our times.
