1:1 Mentorship / Editing Projects in the Time of COVIDRachel Knepfer
Join renowned photo-editor and ex-Director of Photography at Rolling Stone magazine in New York Rachel Knepfer for a hands-on 1:1 mentoring program demonstrating the power of an edit, its history and methods of presentation.
Drawing on iconic and newly published series’ for inspiration, participants will work towards preparing their work for the public. Whether it be online, as a publication or exhibition, dedicating time to the edit, review and re-edit of your work is crucial to a photographers practice.
Participants will develop a framework around their photographs aimed at producing a dummy-format of their work. Participants will be encouraged to be original, to edit with intention, and to embrace the nature of a work in progress.
This course is for those looking to turn their individual works into a collection, a permanent record, a book, or are simply looking to spend time with their work.
Editing Projects in the Time of COVID is delivered online over six contact hours scheduled to suit student availability.
Prerequisites and Requirements
- Camera Craft 2, or relevant experience
- Supply digital files for printing
- Note book and pen
- Zoom installed on your computer - you do not need a paid account
- Computer with stable internet connection, working webcam and microphone
