Photo of the Week: Juliet Taylor

Photo of the Week - 3.07.15
By Belinda Hungerford

This intriguing image of a sunbaker was taken on one of the world’s most iconic beaches – Bondi. But what Juliet Taylor has done is to capture it with her own vision, focusing on the sculptural shapes the oblivious sunbakers made. Taylor says “the beach felt like a live installation, a live show of people – endless activity, constantly changing.”

This work is part of an ACP exhibition that opens tomorrow at The Copper House Gallery as part of Photo Ireland. Curated by ACP's Claire Monneraye, the exhibition aims to go beyond the cliché of the touristic impression of Australia and offer an insight in the people, landscapes and way of life. Also included in the exhibition are works by Markus Andersen, Katelyn Jane-Dunn, Charles Kasprzak, Kristian Laemmle-Ruff, Jesse Marlow, Raphaela Rosella, Chris Round, David Maurice Smith and Wouter Van De Voorde.
